Showing off my new China Glaze polish in Cosmic. A black polish with silver and holographic glitter. Why don't beauty bloggers swatch nail polishes on their toes? Haha...it's a bit awkward...and if I wasn't semi-flexible, very difficult!
This is MY Project 365. I will take one picture a day for 365 days. Starting April 1, 2011, and ending March 30, 2012 (it's gonna be a leap year). Maybe I'll turn it into a Project 366 for that extra day :) **Yessss...I am slacking, but hey: I AM taking the pictures regularly (pretty much), so I will get my booty in gear and start posting more. Sorry for the delay!

Day 42/365: A Twist on Your Manicure
I swear this is the easiest thing you can do to your nails to make them look fancy! Just add glitter!!! Whether it's a glitter topcoat/polish, like my favorite China Glaze Nova, or using a loose glitter like this one. Unfortunately it's Martha Stewart brand (I don't like to support her cause, but the color variety I got from this pack was a bit too redonkulous for me not to buy). This color is aquamarine crystal. And the polish is I believe China Glaze Harmony. A great combination. All you have to do is put down a wet coat of nail polish...probably clear, or the color you have as your base, and dip your finger(s) into the glitter. I recommend pushing it into the nail, so that there's less fallout, then sealing it with a clear topcoat. I say use a junky one, then let it dry and then use a good one like Seche Vite.

Day 30/365: Trying Out Something New
So I thought I'd try some of the new stuff I got from Kali's...ended up only trying this one Essie color (I'll name later when I figure it out), and it was not coming opaque to save its life after 4 coats, so I ended up putting China Glaze Octa-Gone Wild on top top give it something extra.

Day 27/365: Obsession Takes Over and Prices Go Away
So I saw on Twitter and Facebook that Kali put more polishes into the $2 box at their store. Can I say that I have the biggest love-hate relationship with that damn box? GOSH...so I went over, and there weren't a whole ton left, variety wise, but there were some that I had to get. I ended up getting about 20 :S I felt so bad, but such a savy shopper. Here's some that I got...you can read my blog post about more that I got at a sale at Kali's too :)

Day 17/365: An Unexpected Surprise
I finally got my Zoya order in the mail. It took a while, but I'm assuming because many people took advantage of the special they were holding on their site. If you bought their new summer collection, you culd get those colors buy one get one free, so it was a lovely deal. I think the deal was also $2 shipping, so I also got a cuticle balm, which was $2 less than what Kali's sells for...sorry Kali. But with my order, I got this color display for the collection. It was cool, now if I want to buy more at Kali's then at least I know what I'm in for :) It was nice of Zoya to include this, and I am very happy with the colors I did choose.

Day 10/365: Nails!!!
A day late...all around: capture and upload! Hah!! This has been really challenging for me to keep up with, and I will warn you: it will continue to be until this semester ends! However, I do like doing this project because it gives me something fun to do everyday. Maybe today, or sometime soon, I will take a picture at night, or in a different light setting, so that I can vary it up!
Anyway, I did my nails, I think it was Friday night (didn't cut them...don't worry). I wanted to use that plum-ish color I had been wearing all week (and was getting tired of the monochromatic -ness of it all), so I did a gradation type design. Real easy...used a cosmetic sponge (a real crappy one at that) to do the color, and used my favorite nail glitter...China Glaze Nova to make it look better. Oh, and the color is China Glaze Sugar Plums from the Holiday 2010 collection.
